School of Choice 2026-2027
The Chelsea School District is a limited school of choice district. This means we offer one application window during which families can apply to attend as school of choice students for the following fall. Each year, we look at our current enrollment and estimate the number of students we can accept for school of choice slots. A minimum of one (1) student in each grade level from Young Fives/Kindergarten through 12th grade will be available.
If you currently have a Young Fives - 12th grade student enrolled in our District as a School of Choice student, any sibling new to our District will need to apply for School of Choice during the open window to be entered into our SOC Lottery for the coming year.
If you are a current resident student of our District and plan to move outside our District boundaries, you will need to apply for School of Choice to be eligible to remain a Chelsea School District student.
The 2026-2027 application window is closed. It will be opened May 4, 2026 - June, 3, 2026 at 3pm.
The Virtual School of Choice Lottery will take place on June 10, 2026 at 11:00am. If you wish to watch the lotter, a zoom link will be provided prior to the drawing.
