Fertilizer Application
ADVANCE NOTICE OF PESTICIDE/HERBICIDE TREATMENT
We would like to inform you that, weather permitting, the Chelsea School District will be applying pre-emergent to
all landscaped areas and garden beds from March 24–28, 2025. In the event of inclement weather, the make-up
dates for the application will be March 29–30, 2025.
Fertilizer Application Notification
All district facilities follow Integrated Pest Management practices to minimize pesticide use on school grounds, in
line with the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (Excerpt), Act 451 of 1994, Part 85
Fertilizers. Additionally, any broadleaf weeds will be treated with Veg Control district-wide.
We will be using CREW Pre-Emergent in all garden beds, mulched areas, and baseball infields. Pre-emergent
helps prevent weeds from germinating, thus reducing the need for herbicide applications throughout the season.
