Chelsea School District's Community Education has multiple pickleball courts available for use and rental.

Current Rental Fees

    $30 / court / per hour in district  
    $60 /court / per hour out district 
    $200/hour/court corporate rate
    Only 3 courts can reserved 
    Courts can ONLY be reserved before or after OPEN PLAY

Court Rules

1. Players and Groups must rotate off the court after their game to 11 when other groups are waiting AND courts are full. The rotation board should always be used to facilitate sharing in these situations.
2. Courts are for pickleball play only.
3. Non-marking shoes/soles only.
4. No food, glass, or alcoholic beverages.
5. No pets, bicycles, rollerblades, or skateboards.
6. Do not abuse the nets/equipment.
7. Sportsmanship and courtesy expected at all times.
8. Players not following the rules will not be permitted to use the courts.
9. Use Courts at your own risk.

Open Play Information 

Open Play is a predetermined time where pickleball players show up at the courts to play. It allows players to come and go without ever setting up a game. You simply show up with paddle in hand and join in. Private/individual games are not allowed during Open Play hours.

• Please observe the designated Open Play hours.
• When players are waiting to play:
  • Use the rotation board to establish an orderly waiting line for the next available court. (Court sharing)
  • Enter the courts together when it’s time to play.
  • Play a single game to 11 points and then yield the court to waiting players.
• Share the courts, have fun, and enjoy the game!

Usage Guidelines

• No private or professional lessons permitted at any time unless organized through Chelsea Community Rec /Ed
• No tournaments are permitted except those organized through Chelsea Community Rec/Education and must be presented by a Chelsea organization.
  • Tournament fees may apply.
• Chelsea based groups and organizations desiring to rent the courts OUTSIDE of Open Play time should contact Chelsea Community Ed. Fees may apply. 
• No fundraising events allowed, unless approved by Chelsea Community Ed.
